“Stop and see the amazing things that children do every single day”
After completing school and a course in Nanny/Governess I worked as a live in nanny here in Brisbane. Their two children quickly become my own children and I enjoyed the 6 years that I spent with this family. This cemented my love for children and I moved in the childcare field working with the same company for 10 years, in this time as an Educator, room leader and Director. It is here that I completed my Diploma and Advanced Diploma studies. I too have had some time writing childcare modules and training packages for adult students. In this decade I also married and became a mum to 2 beautiful children. I was fortunate to be a stay home mum for a few years whilst my children were young. I then became involved in the planning and building of Mollys House and it didn’t take long for the ownership of Mollys House to set in for me. I still remember the first day Mollys House welcomed children, and I knew it was where I was meant to be. Mollys House quickly flourished and it was my aim to be known as an Exceptional Centre for children’s learning within our community. Although I feel we have arrived at this point we continue to advocate for our little centre and its children without our community. My children were fortunate to have a “Mollys” experience and this provided me with a great balance in my life. I feel their “Mollys” experience has played a large role in making them into the young people they have become. I feel very proud to lead the teachers at Mollys and continue to advocate for children to learn through play in the early years. I take the responsibility of care in of your children with the utmost respect and responsibility.

Working with children has been a big part of my life for a long time. Being a hands on mum for my own 2 children and then working with children for almost 25 years. I have worked my way down the spectrum having taught Grade 3, Grade 2, Grade 1, Preschool and now Kindy. I tend to be a bit “old fashioned” in my approach to teaching children, but love to support and extend on children’s ideas and encourage imaginative play. I love children’s literature, and like nothing better than bring books alive. I believe that instilling a love of literacy is so important for young learners.

Since starting at Mollys House many years ago I know that I had found a place that feels right. The work that we all do with the children is amazing to say the least. The children are like extension of our own family. I would have loved to have more children but could not. I have always loved spending time with small children and teaching them all about the world. This love has taken me from a Certificate in Children’s Services to a Diploma in Children’s Services. This is what makes me happy, seeing the smiling faces of the child each day is what it is all about. I love the wonder into here eyes when for the first time the see a rainbow. I am able to share this joy with my work colleagues and appreciate that they have the same passion as I do. Teaching and watching them grow as competent being is a true pleasure and one I do not take for granted. How many people do you know that can say, at work today they got to dance, sing, cuddle, laugh, tickle and play? I can answer this question with a smile knowing that is what I do each day.

I have been part of the Mollys House family since 2009, commencing study in the centre with a Certificate in Children’s services and completing a Diploma in Children’s Services – with the hope to further my knowledge. When leaving school like most I was faced with several careers paths and a lot of uncertainty as to which suited me. Since then I have never looked back. I have discovered a new and forever growing passion for little children/ every day I am constantly amazed by the beauty children bring. Their open minds and raw uniqueness are qualities that are extremely special. I am a passionate, loving, crazy and fun person that not only wants to be an Educator to the children but a find, role model and supporter. It is my goal to establish relationships with each individual child that comes through the big wooden Mollys House door, to enable them to feel safe, secure and supported through their journey with us.

I joined the Mollys House team in 2011, completing the Certificate in Children’s services. I contribute each day to delivering a safe, fun, loving environment for young children to gown and learn. My loving and caring nature shines to positively impact the childrens experiences. I find every day rewarding at Mollys as it takes by and the children on a journey and adventure of learning.
I have been married for 22 years to my wonderful husband and have two beautiful teenage children. We love sharing the outdoors together.
I am privileged to be part of such a caring team and I look forward to building wonderful relationships with you and your children.

Moving from Perth and joining the family at Mollys House. That is what I believe Mollys House is … a family. I have been studying during my time at Mollys and recently completed a Certificate in Children services. The thing I love the most about children is their carefree nature and their enthusiasm for adventure. I get to smile and laugh with them every day.

“It’s not what we do for children but teach them to do for themselves that make them successful human beings”
I have been working in the early childhood field since 1991 commencing at Lady Gowrie and then across a variety of roles Directing, teaching both children and students and managing centres. Following the birth of my second child I started to search for a balance between home and centre in care and education for young children and had the fortunate opportunities to realise these ideals through Casia House in Caboolture and later a newly built Mollys House. My education has taken me from a Diploma in Education, degree and Masters in Education –with majors in Early Childhood and Special Education. I feel privileged to be working with a group of passionate people and even more privilege that you choose us to care for your child.
